The promo from Patrick Gower promised "a political showdown of epic proportions", but he wasn't talking about Trump versus Biden.
For those of us who had winced our way through that debacle earlier on Wednesday, Gower's prediction about New Zealand's contest on was hyperbole.
The Newshub match-up between thePrime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition was not epic - but it was much more fun than the previous time they took the stage.

In camera time, the Leader of the Opposition was again a clear winner, clocking 25 minutes 51 seconds of focus, compared with 21 minutes and 59 seconds for the Prime Minister.
That's 18 per cent more camera time for Collins, up from the 9 per cent more she got in the first televised debate.
