An Auckland teenager is fighting for her life after an incident at Tawharanui Peninsula.

Emergency services found the 15-year-old with "life threatening injuries" at a property on Saturday evening.

The Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter airlifted her to Auckland City Hospital.

Police were called to the Whitmore Rd property about 6pm.

Inquiries into the incident were ongoing.
