A controversial bill legalising voluntary euthanasia has passed its final vote in Parliament.
Act leader David Seymour's End of Life Choice passed its third reading 69 votes to 51 and will now be put to a public referendum during next year's general election.
The decision was made aconscience vote, meaning MPs voted individually, rather than along party lines.
