Person seriously hurt in quad-bike accident near Ranfurly

A person was seriously injured in a quad bike accident near Wedderburn yesterday morning.

Police responded to a report from St John of a ''potential workplace incident'' at 9.50am.

St John spokesman Gerard Campbell said the person with serious injuries was airlifted to Dunedin Hospital.

He did not have any more information about the person or the incident.
