A former top cricketer accused of groping 11 women in Hawke's Bay and Rotorua is due to appear in the Napier District Court this afternoon.
Jason Robert Trembath, 29, pleaded not guilty indecently assaulting nine women and sexually violating a further two last year.
His arrest came after a string of reported indecent assaults throughout Hawke's Bay in November last year, followed by an appeal from police for information.
He initially faced two sex charges but on the morning of a court appearance news broke that police had laid nine more in relation to alleged attacks on women in public places in Hawke's Bay and Rotorua between September 28 and November 5, 2017.
Trembath previously captained Rotorua cricket club Central's premier side and played for the Bay of Plenty senior team. He had most recently played for Taradale in Hawke's Bay.
