One person is suffering injuries after a car crashed into a bridge in North Canterbury this morning.
Emergency services rushed to the scene on Loburn Whiterock Rd, in Loburn, shortly after 7am.
The vehicle had driven into Karetu Bridge and the driver was initially trapped.
Fire crews worked for some
time to free the person trapped inside the vehicle.
The person was now being treated by St John Ambulance medical staff for their injuries.
