Fire crews are at an address in the South Auckland suburb of Clover Park, where a house is engulfed in flames.

Emergency northern communications shift manager Jaron Phillips said three crews were at the home on Townley Place and a fourth fire engine was en route.

"There was some concern initially because neighbours reported occupants were going back into the house, to get other people out."

Phillips said everyone was now accounted for.

"The good news is, everyone is safely out."

Phillips said fire crews were alerted to the fire around 5.40pm.

The blaze had engulfed the house when they arrived.
