The Gentoo penguins at Kelly Tarlton's Sea Life Aquarium were given the choice between red and blue pebbles and were free to choose which ones to take back to their nest.
It was atight race with a strong start by Labour but National managed to win in the end, by one mere pebble.
According to the penguins, Bill English will manage a fourth term for National.
