Police are calling for the public's help in their investigation over the hit-and-run death of Nelson Hari.
The 25-year-old was hit and killed by two vehicles while walking home from a wedding in Ruatoria in April this year.
Hari had been at a wedding at the Te Heapera Marae on April 15 when he decided to walk home around midnight and was struck by two vehicles and killed.
His grieving mother Nina told the Herald her son had "the softest, kindest nature you could ever have".
"He doesn't have a bad bone in his body. He's one of the good guys."
While one driver has helped police with their inquiries, the second driver has never been found.
The ongoing investigation into the fatal hit-and-run will feature on Police Ten 7 tonight, as police continue to hunt for the second vehicle involved.
"We hope tonight's Police Ten 7 episode will help us to get the answers we need for Nelson's whanau and friends," Detective Sergeant Glen Burrell said.
"We encourage people to watch the show and get in touch with any information they may have."
The episode will air on TV2 at 7.30pm tonight and TV2+1 at 8.30pm.
It will also be available on the Police Ten 7 Facebook page after the show has screened.
