A man escaped with moderate injuries when his car crashed 50m down a bank in South Auckland this morning.
The incident occurred near the intersection of Redoubt Rd and Murphys Rd in Totara Park about 10.30am, a Fire Service spokesman said.

Service responded with their rope rescue team from Auckland city."
The male driver was assisted up the bank and treated by paramedics for moderate injuries.
