Rotorua crash: One seriously injured in bus collision at busy intersection

One person has suffered serious injuries after a bus and a motorbike collided at a major Bay of Plenty intersection.

Police said the crash happened just north of the State Highway 30A intersection with State Highway 5/Old Taupo Rd in Rotorua just before 6.20pm.

“One person has been seriously injured,” police said.

State Highway 5/Old Taupo Rd is expected to stay closed for several hours. Diversions are in place.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area or expect delays.
