Methven man killed in SH77 car crash

The man killed in a single car crash on State Highway 77 between Methven and Ashburton yesterday has been named.
He was 24-year-old Anthony Dennis Copperwheat.
Copperwheat was originally from the UK but was living in Methven, about an hour inland from Christchurch.
Police said he crashed into
a power pole between Blands Rd and Thompsons Track at 3.30am on Sunday.
The Serious Crash Unit are investigating.
