He was described as having a moustache, dark hair and jeans, but Hamilton police didn't have to run far to nab him.
The man allegedly drove his car through a traffic island laden with bushes on one of the city's main thoroughfares early today.
Police and fire were called to
the intersection of Te Rapa Straight and Sunshine Ave at 1.15am, Waikato police Senior Sergeant Ray Malcolmson said.
All police had to go on was the desciption of a man with a moustache, black hair and wearing jeans.
However, a man was nabbed by cops shortly afterwards and is helping police with their inquiries.
