Underwater search for missing kayaker continues

An underwater search of a Canterbury lake will continue today for a kayaker who has been missing for four days.

The man was last seen at Lake Coleridge on Saturday afternoon.

The Canterbury police search and rescue-led recovery operation completed a search of the shore and surrounding area yesterday.

"Unfortunately the man has yet to be located," a police spokeswoman said.

From today, the access road to Lake Coleridge will be closed from Mt Algidus Road to the intake while the recovery operation is underway.

Police say they aren't yet releasing any personal details of the missing kayaker.
