A woman accused of murdering her husband has today been released on bail after a successful appeal to the High Court.
Lucille Scollay, 44, is charged with killing Guy Scollay, 48, at a Christchurch house in the early hours of February 10.
She was arrested soon after an incident at the couple's Edgeware Rd home.
At a second appearance from custody at Christchurch District Court last month bail was opposed by police and refused by Judge John Strettel.
Mrs Scollay, a cleaner, appealed against the decision to the High Court and today has won that appeal to be released.
She was not in court and will be released on bail from Christchurch Women's Prison today to return to the city's district court on March 18.
