A drug-addled woman who injured her neighbour during a "prank" drive-by shooting has been jailed for 12 months.
Sharlene Anne Cave, 34, was sentenced in Hamilton yesterday after admitting careless use of a firearm causing bodily injury, the Waikato Times reported.
The court was told that after spending a night consuming alcohol and methamphetamine, Cave loaded a friend's gun and fired at her 51-year-old neighbour's Frankton home from a car. The victim, who was asleep, was hit in the shoulder.
