New Zealanders' Nile journey on hold

Two New Zealanders attacked in Uganda last week will continue their exploration of the Nile River next year.

The Ascend the Nile journey to travel up the 6600km-long river is to take a break while its members recover from their injuries, and out of respect for killed Briton Steve Willis.

Wellington man Garth MacIntyre was shot and former Rotorua man Cam McLeay suffered seriously cut feet when the expedition was attacked by rebel gunmen.
