The New Zealand A rugby team has beaten a competitive French Universities side, 33-21 in Bayonne.

The tourists led 13-10 at halftime and outscored the French 3 tries to 2.

Mils Muliaina, Justin Collins and new All Black squad member Caleb Ralph dotted down for New Zealand while David Howell kicked 18 points.

New Zealand A played the last few minutes with 14 men after Royce Willis was yellow-carded for a high tackle.

They now have 2 wins from 3 games and head to Bucharest next for a match against Romania.
