Save A 28-year-old forestry worker has been killed in a logging accident in Nelson this afternoon.
Police said the man died after being pinned between two trees at a private forestry site off Foxhill Cemetery Road south of Nelson about midday.
He was discovered by a colleague.
CPR was performed on
the man, but he died at the scene, police said.
Initial inquiries revealed the man had been working alone on a hauler.
