Multiple fire crews called to house blaze in Māngere East, South Auckland

Crews were called to a house fire in Māngere East.

Fire crews have rushed to a burning home in the Auckland suburb of Māngere East.

In a video shared on Facebook, towering orange flames are pouring out of a Buckland Rd address.

Shocked onlookers watch the grey and white smoke pour from the house across the neighbourhood.

A Fire and Emergency shift manager told the Herald multiple calls were received at 2.52pm about a house on fire in Māngere East.

“We sent three appliances and found the house well involved upon arrival,” he said.

“The fire has since been put out and a fire investigator is on scene trying to determine the cause of the fire.”
