Hamish Morrison and Helen Smith, both recently with commercial specialist Gavin Wilson Flooring, have been appointed to run the newly established commercial division of Carpet Court. Morrison brings with him more than 20 years of commercial experience and Smith has been specialising in commercial project management.

Ken Scott has joined Executive Appointments as a senior associate. He comes from five years as the director, sales and marketing, for Glaxo-Wellcome NZ.

Anthony Mitchell has been appointed a partner in Sheffield and was recently appointed to lead its Australian operation based in Sydney. John Woods has been appointed a search principal in its Auckland office. Woods was previously human resources director of Fletcher Challenge Energy.

Steven Alsemgeest is the new Hamilton branch manager of project and construction management company Arrow International.

Gerry Morris has moved to the Auckland office of public relations agency Porter Novelli following its merger with his Wellington company, Morris Communications.
