Mount Maunganui incident: One arrested after person held ‘against will’ on vessel

One person has been arrested after a serious incident at Mount Maunganui today.

A police spokesperson said reports were received that a person was being “held against their will” on a vessel in Pilot Bay.

“Police have one person in custody in relation to the matter and are making further inquiries into the incident,” they said.
