Motorcyclist seriously hurt in collision in Christchurch

A motorcyclist has been seriously injured in a collision with a car in Christchurch.

Police said it appeared the car did a u-turn in front of the bike at Opawa Rd in Opawa about 8am.

The motorcyclist is currently in Christchurch Hospital with a hip injury.

Police hope to speak to him this afternoon.
