Save Two people have been arrested after allegedly stealing motorbikes worth tens of thousands of dollars from a Waikato business.
The thieves used a five tonne to ram a gate to the yard at Huntly Honda, about 3.30am, acting Senior Sergeant Aaron Alderton said.
"A number of motorbikes were loaded onto
the truck and more motorbikes were prepared to be loaded when they appeared to be spooked."
The pair drove north where they were picked up by police on State Highway 1 in Bombay.
Police pursued the truck when it failed to stop - and were able to stop it with spikes, Mr Alderton said.
