Save Two motocross riders were airlifted to hospital from events in Waikato today.
The first incident involved a nine-year-old boy who came off his motorcycle at a southern Waikato motocross event.
He fell while trying to avoid being hit by another bike but was then hit by a third bike.
The
Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter flew the boy from the event at Aria, Waitomo, to Waikato Hospital in Hamilton.
Early this evening the helicopter was dispatched to Glen Murray west of Te Kauwhata after a teenage girl fractured her leg during a separate event.
