A missing woman from Uruguay has been found safe and well, police say.
Claudia Corbo De Castro, 22, was expected in Culverden, north of Christchurch, at the end of last week to start a new job but did not arrive.
This afternoon a police spokeswoman said representatives of the Italian
Embassy were among people the police were speaking to about the case.
The last reported sighting of Castro was in Mount Maunganui on June 18.
Tonight police have said she has made contact with them, and is safe and well.
