Missing woman found alive but badly dehydrated

West Auckland woman Cynthia Freeman has been found alive but badly dehydrated after she disappeared on Wednesday.

Ms Freeman had been missing from her home since 5pm on Wednesday and police said fears were growing for her safety.

Police said she was found about 9am today by a member of the public. She was about 50 metres down a bank in the Waikumete Cemetery.

She was badly dehydrated and an ambulance was called, police said.
