Missing North Shore woman, 75, found safe in Takapuna

A North Shore woman who hadn't been seen since Wednesday morning has been found.

Brenda Stapleton left her home about 10am and was yet to return today.

However, a police spokesperson has confirmed she was found "safe and well" in Takapuna this morning.

She was currently being reunited with her family.

Police thanked the members of the public who came forward with information to help find her.

Earlier, the police Eagle helicopter and search and rescue crews had been out looking for her.
