When the Carterton Fire Brigade approached Hell Pizza for sponsorship, they had no idea they would end up becoming delivery boys.
Firefighter Kerry McGhie said they approached the business to help a team of eight get to the New South Wales Fire Championships this year.
Now they'll be delivering Hell
pizzas on Wednesday nights for the rest of the month, between 5.30pm and 7.30pm.
Residents can have pizzas delivered to the station and $2 from each pizza will be donated to the brigade. Or people in urban Carterton can have pizza delivered to their house by the volunteers, who will receive half of the delivery fee.
"There's no other place in Masterton that delivers down here with anything, so it's quite good," Mr McGhie said.
