McDonald's in row over mobility scooter

McDonald's is yet to deliver on a promise to say sorry to a woman who was denied service in a drive-thru, because she was on a mobility scooter.

Margaret Todd says she could not squeeze her scooter through the front door of McDonald's in Blenheim, so had no option but to head round to the drive-thru.

The 69-year-old says she was refused service because she was not in a conventional vehicle.

Ms Todd says the store invited her for a chat about the incident over breakfast but twice she has turned up only to be told they were too busy.

She says she has been there twice, and managers would not even come outside to acknowledge her.
