Bracanov said it had something to do with a fine he received for throwing manure at royalty when Mr Banks was police minister in the 1990s.

John Boscowin, lamington, 2009
This wasn't thrown as such, but during a candidates' meeting for the 2009 Mt Albert byelection at Unitec, a student placed a lamington on his head. Mr Boscowin wasn't put off and continued speaking.
Don Brash, mud, 2004
The National leader received a frosty reception at Waitangi shortly after his one law for all speech. "Not a bad shot," said Dr Brash, as he wiped the clod from his face.
