Police had dealt with up to four people in relation to drunkenness at the festival but "nothing too serious," he said.
A Canterbury District Health Board spokesman said Watts was in a stable condition in Christchurch Hospital and "doing well".
He had requested no further information be released about his case.
Watts was in June discharged without conviction for running naked on to the field during the Cricket World Cup game between England and Scotland in Christchurch on February 23.
Judge David Saunders found that "stupidity can't be legislated against" and instead of imposing a conviction ordered him to pay a donation to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Trust.
