A 27-year-old man who allegedly pointed a gun at South Otago police last night is due to appear in the Dunedin District Court.
Police say a man failed to stop in Balclutha at 7.20pm, but then got out of the car and pointed a gun at officers.
The Armed Offenders
Squad was called but the man was safely arrested.
A police spokeswoman said the man will face charges of using a firearm to resist arrest in the Dunedin District Court.
