A 65 year-old man has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm following an incident in Wainuiomata near Wellington yesterday.
The victim was airlifted to Wellington Hospital yesterday with a cut to his right arm and two head injuries, and remains in ICU this morning.
The
accused is due to appear in Hutt Valley District Court today, a police media spokeswoman said.
The incident occurred on Wise St in Wainuiomata just after 4pm after a violent fight broke out between a father and son.
Police did not release any further details.
