Man in court over bedroom assaults

A 28-year-old Auckland man accused of breaking into three Hastings homes and indecently assaulting young girls is to appear in court today.

The man faced three charges of burglary, an indecent act and indecent assault relating to three separate incidents between February and August, Detective Glen Yule of Hastings said.

He said the man allegedly carried out the sex attacks after breaking into houses in Montrose Place, Flaxmere Ave and Margate Ave and entered the bedrooms of young girls.

He was due to appear in Manukau District Court today, and was likely to face further charges.
