A man has died after a shooting in west Auckland.
The incident happened in Blockhouse Bay at about 1.10am today.
In a statement, police said the man died of gunshot wounds to the head.
Police are investigating the matter and speaking to witnesses.
The scene is being treated as "unexplained".
