Man dead after lab blast

A man is dead after an explosion in a house at Glenbrook, south Auckland, tonight.

Inspector Peter Raynes said it was thought the explosion was caused by a clandestine lab blowing up inside the house.

Counties Manukau police and emergency services were currently dealing with the situation which had left one man dead.

The scene had been cordoned off to protect members of the public.
