Man critically injured after animal attack near Hamilton

A man has been flown to Waikato hospital with critical injuries after an animal attack west of Hamilton.

Two St John vehicles attended the incident in Te Akau this morning.

A St John spokesman said the man had been flown to Waikato Hospital where he was being treated.

It was not yet known what kind of animal was involved in the attack.
