A 21-year-old Hamilton man charged with criminal nuisance after crashing into a power pole in Taupo will be back in court next week.
Jade Rolfe appeared briefly before the Taupo District Court registrar this morning and will reappear on Thursday August 18.
The charge follows an incident on January 30
this year when a downed power pole led to a power cut which affected 630 homes.
Fai Deane, 50, who was on an oxygen machine, later died.
