Police have charged a 22-year-old man over a crash that killed a cyclist on the outskirts of Hamilton last week.
Craig Goulsbro died in hospital after he and a number of other cyclists were struck by a car on Puketaha Rd on July 1.
Police said today they had charged the driver, a 22-year-old from Hamilton, with aggravated careless use of a motor vehicle causing death.
He has been summonsed to appear in Hamilton District Court on August 8 and police have not ruled out laying further charges.

Inspector Rob Lindsay said preliminary investigations had revealed the crash occurred when the vehicle tried to carrying out an overtaking manoeuvre and pulled back into the group of 14 cyclists .
Chris Smith suffered a number of broken ribs and Bill Donaldson was knocked unconscious when the impact sent him flying into a fence.
Both were later discharged from hospital.
Mr Goulsbro, a father of one, was unconscious when he was taken to Waikato Hospital and he died on July 3.
