Man arrested after Dunedin assault

An 18-year-old man has been arrested after a 55-year-old was beaten and left in a George St alley with eight fractures to his skull.

Dunedin Police are looking for another male in connection with the attack.

Sergeant Steve Aitken, of Dunedin, said the incident happened last Thursday.

He said the victim had been speaking with the offenders, but was later taken down an alleyway, where he was beaten up and had his wallet taken.
