SWINGERS are making way for red hot Latin dancers at a revamped Masterton outdoor concert next month.
Summer Swing is to become Summer Heat and will feature top notch Latin band Kantuta, from Auckland, and its Salsa dancers.
They will be joined by Wellington's Mexican Salsa band Clave Latina and the master
of ceremonies for the night will be evergreen entertainer and New Zealand Idol judge Frankie Stevens.
Summer Heat is to be held on February 15 at the Colin Pugh Sports Bowl, with people being encouraged to bring a picnic, relax and enjoy the entertainment for an entry fee of $5.
Kantuta have performed all over New Zealand and overseas with original Latino/Pacific rhythms, including songs in both Spanish and English.
Its five members come from New Zealand, Chile, Colombia and Puerto Rico.
Kantuta have released three albums since 1992, two having achieved gold and platinum status.
Summer Heat is a sponsored concert and will be held the day after Summer Hummer.
