A fire has broken out at a store on Onehunga Mall in Auckland. Photo / SuppliedSenior station officer Rusbridge told an NZME photographer on scene a derelict two-storey building was well involved in fire.
“Upon arrival, we saw fire coming out of two rear windows and as we were getting to work, the fire came out of one of the roof sections,” he said.
Rusbridge said 15 appliances were on site at one point and fire investigators were requested.
A witness told the Herald the firefighters were doing a fantastic job against such a large blaze.
He said the fire spread to the second floor of the house, which he believed took place in an empty shop.
