Police investigating the discovery of a woman with a knife embedded in her abdomen say they are not seeking anyone in connection with the investigation.
The injured 48-year-old was found by her husband at a Knights Road property in Lower Hutt on Tuesday afternoon.
She was taken to Hutt Hospital
in a serious condition and received treatment.
A team of 10 police investigators conducted a scene examination and spoke to nearby residents, and patrols in the area were increased.
Police today thanked everyone who contacted them with information, and said it had been very helpful to investigators.
