Kayaker rescued near Huka Falls by helicopter

Save A kayaker that got into trouble near Huka Falls has been pulled out of the Waikato River by a rescue helicopter.
A police spokeswoman said the woman was kayaking in the rapids above Huka Falls, near Taupo, when she fell out and made it to a nearby rock.
Police were
called to the scene at 11.50am.
The Greenlea Rescue Helicopter was called around 12.45pm and rescued the woman off the rock using a long line and basket.
