Part of the Hawke’s Bay Expressway reopened about 90 minutes after an incident that left one person in a critical condition on Thursday.
Police were called about 10.50am and closed part of Kennedy Rd and State Highway 2 in Pirimai, Napier.
Kennedy Rd and the expressway overpass above it, alsoknown as State Highway 50, were closed off.
Hato Hone St John sent two ambulances and a rapid response vehicle to the scene and one person was treated and transported to Hawke’s Bay Hospital in a critical condition.
Police said on Thursday afternoon they would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident.
