'Houndman' charged with internet date rapes

A 40-year-old man who went by the name "Houndman" on internet dating sites has been charged with raping two of the women he met online.

Gregory Noel Burnside, from Naike in the Waikato, faced 10 charges relating to sexual attacks on the two women when he appeared in the Huntly District Court yesterday. It is alleged the first attack was on a woman on November 9 last year.

The second attack, on a different woman, is alleged to have happened on November 23.

Burnside, who entered no plea, was remanded on bail for a pre-depositions hearing on April 29.
