A Canterbury man involved in a road rage attack, killing a puppy and putting a man in hospital's been given eight months' home detention.
Andrew McDaniel previously pleaded guilty to repeatedly running over a man out with his children near the Eyre River in March.
The man suffered injuries to
his ankle, back and shoulder. The family's puppy had to be put down.
McDaniel's since been under psychiatric assessment in Hillmorton Hospital, where his lawyer says he's made huge improvements.
Judge Jane Farish told him the children involved were still frightened and suffering nightmares.
