HMNZS Endeavour limps home

A Navy support tanker is limping home after some of its control mechanisms broke down on the way to Asia for five-nation exercises.

Navy spokesman Jo Bunce said HMNZS Endeavour's controls and monitoring mechanism between the bridge and engine room had failed.

He said Endeavour and its 40 crew would return to Devonport for repairs.
