The Ministry of Health has welcomed the penalty of $15,000 imposed on Lyprinol (NZ) for selling a product derived from green-lipped mussels as a cure for cancer.
The company was sentenced in the North Shore District Court on two charges relating to the sale and advertising of Lyprinol as a new medicine without consent.
